Welcome to HBSculpturesMy work is all hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind sculptures, each piece is lovingly made and sculpted down to the finest details. I am extremely passionate about what I do, combining both nature and sculptural form. On my portfolio page is a variety of examples of the kind of work that I can create, be it clay sculpture of wildlife, pets, or mythical creatures.
My work is a juxtaposition of the natural and man made. Every sculpture I create is bespoke and special for each client. I create a range of pieces, and any ideas or suggestions can be made in to 3D. My work focuses on expression and facial features, although I can explore form and movement, depending on client preference. Examples of some of my commissions can be seen on the next page; please contact me if you re interested in my work. |

About Me
I’m a fine art graduate, a lover of wildlife, animal expression and 3D form. My work takes me through my passions: wildlife, sculpture, and nature.
Through exploring anthropomorphism within my degree, I enjoy looking at the human qualities within different animals. This could be the subtle tilt of a head, the glint in an animal’s eye, or the mannerisms shared by humans and animals alike. |
Materials and Methods
I primarily work as a base with clay, creating the original form and shape using only the clay itself. I hand-paint each piece with acrylic paints or glazes to be fired, potentially adding a matte varnish or areas of gloss to inject an element of expression and life in to each piece. I have worked with a variety of media, but find clay the most malleable and environmentally friendly as a material to use.
I can work with almost any material desired, depending on client preference. The medium used can have a profound effect on the properties of the finished sculpture, so if specific qualities are required please feel free to discuss this with me using the details provided on the contact page. |
